Nanoproof’s Shogun X8 paint protection film ( Shogun PPF ) is an 8mil invisible film sourced from high-grade thermoplastic polyurethane produced by one of the leading polyurethane manufacturers in Nagoya Japan. The film specifications were chosen with the Middle East’s weather and climate characteristics being at the forefront of the challenges that the film needed to meet and surpass. The film was exposed to environmental conditions that included high levels of humidity, sand storms, dust, high UV index, and long exposure sun rays.  Moreover, Shogun’s final film production process occurs in a state-of-the-art facility in Guangzhou. The base material’s durability creates a formidable barrier against impact damages and harsh environmental conditions.

The film was carefully selected after undergoing extensive practical testing that was conducted by our automotive arm based in Dubai since 2019. Fifteen paint protection films which included the top brand names in the industry were put to the test. The films were exposed to Dubai’s harsh climate and extreme UV index on a daily basis. Shogun X8 outperformed competing films as it maintained its quality, clarity, and gloss throughout the environmental exposure testing phase. Moreover, gloss level tests, self-healing tests, water beading, and stain resistance tests were conducted every quarter throughout the testing period.
